![]() Do you control every aspect of Modul8 from within Live? and if so what are the simple methods For exampleĬlip launching (say a track of clips in live's session view each with midi notes>contextual midi>loaded into specific layers), FX for specific tracks (set up as a track in Live of clips containing controller messages>contextual midi), Transformations (scale, rotation etc). I suppose i'm interested in how much control people have just within Ableton. I'm hoping to eventually do both Audio and Visuals on the one machine (when the Universal Binary modul8 comes out), but i'm aware this might be a bit much at the moment, so may borrow another laptop for the time being. I have lots of years worth of interesting linear motion graphics elements as i've worked in Motion graphics design for quite a while, as well as audio design and DJing/performing Live. Other visual layers will be less related to timing, and more loop based and washy, and overlayed, but some sync options would be nice (retriggering long loops, colour changes, strobes etc). The visuals i will be creating, some i would like to be triggered spot on to the music, for eg setting up a midi note in a snare position (on the 2 and 4) and have that trigger a visual of a slapping hand across a face. My set up is a MBP 1.83 duo, with 2 gig ram, using Ableton Live 5.2, with approx 8 tracks of audio elements already (loops, whole tracks, beats, cut ups, elements), plus my UC33e (which has alot of its controllers assigned already to EQs, faders, delays, FX etc). i know i was a bit vague, sorry about that!
